I was fortunate to work as a part of HISTORY TV18’s small start-up team to launch in India. At the channel, I was surrounded with people who pushed me to my limits. Devising campaign strategies for brand launch, sustenance and developing new product offerings, collaborating with PR & event partners to reach out to the consumer & trade fraternity and creating HISTORY TV18’s online brand destination. The work gave me challenges I had never thought of – churning artworks till 4am (a day before rollout), implementing big ticket customer events and managing 9 external agencies all executing at the same time. But when the campaign would go live, I would drive around Mumbai to see the billboards, bought every newspaper to take a cut out of the print ads, watched TV for hours to catch the ad spot play and tuned into radio to hear the commercial. I am finding it hard to articulate but there was definitely something special about traditional media marketing.

Launched the History India Website that comprised of show details, schedule, interesting videos and shop.

App

Launched India’s first second screen channel app with a live ticker on TV for the HISTORY TV18 community to interact and to increase viewer engagement.

Public Relations

Strategized and coordinated with public relations partners for press coverage and publicity management of International Screen Talents in India. Planned big-ticket events including live performances, press conferences, celebrity meet and greets, and trade events.

Innovative Outdoor

Creative Outdoor Media, billboards, bus shelters, ambient media branded across Teir 1 and Teir 2 as well as HSM markets.

Big-ticket Shows

Spearheaded the social media and digital backend for ‘The Greatest Indian’ – A global format by the BBC which generated over 20 million votes and reaching over 2 million users on Facebook while trending multiple times on Twitter for HISTORY TV18 in a span of 8 weeks.

Awards

Won more than 10 awards for the brand marketing campaigns in 2013-14 in the several categories.

Integrated Campaigns

Formulated and Implemented integrated marketing campaigns that included online, TV, print, outdoor, mobile and social media; strategic partnerships and special contests/promotions to increase viewership.

Brand Solutions

Responsible for creating integrated sales packages for brands along with customized solutions for Television and Social Media.
